Today is going to be a great day of conference tournament basketball and we will have 15 championship games today. Let's get the bad news out of the way first, we had our 7th team Friday bow out with COVID issues and that team is (2) Kansas from the Big 12. Looking at our pool, 5 people selected (2) Kansas and will now take a loss which is reflected in the updated standings. The standings are also updated with the losses from Friday, which was a day full of big upsets. Our terrible stats are now refreshed with 2 days of conference tournament action left.

Now let's get into the good news, we are going to have 15 conference tournament championship games today and since I don't have time to cover every matchup below is a quick rundown of big games for our pool. In the ACC only SJS picked (5) Georgia Tech and with them automatically advancing to the championship game they will take on (2) Florida State. Moving to the America East the only person in our entire pool still alive is Mattyboi with (6) UMass-Lowell. I'm already two conferences in and we could have lone bonus points awarded. (5) Oklahoma State takes on (3) Texas in the Big 12 and we each have a person that picked these teams, bonus points in the Big 12 are guaranteed. (2) Creighton is our only team left in the Big East, (9) Iona is the only team left in the MAAC and heavily picked (3) Colorado is all lone in the Pac 12. Unless every single game breaks just right we're going to be awarding a whole bunch of bonus points today. Many of the matchups in the remaining conferences are (3) vs. (1) or (2) vs. (1) so we should be racking up the points today.
I will do my best to ensure I post standings updates 2-3 times throughout today so everyone knows where they are at since we have so many impactful games today. I'll update standings without necessarily sending out a blog, but my hope is to send out a blog recap of the day late tonight. Remember, if you are mathematically eliminated from the top 4 I will gray out your name in the standings. No gray means you've still got a chance. Even if you do get eliminated you're still eligible for bonus money in lowest winning seed, total bonus points, power 5 conference points and SEC championship game total.
