I am going to lead with the good stuff today. We will have our first official ticket punched with the Ohio Valley conference tournament championship game between (1) Belmont and (2) Morehead State. Let's look at the details of this matchup and the impact on our pool. 24 out of 30 are still alive with 23 having Belmont. Belmont is favored by 5 points which makes me think we'll have an entertaining game at 7p CST on ESPN2. Even if Belmont wins, having 23 people getting a win doesn't make this a pivotal conference for our pool. Now, if Chris wins with Morehead State then this does become a pivotal conference for our pool.
Before and after the game above we still have almost 30 conference tournament games today. 3 new conferences are tipping off today with the Colonial, Northeast and Summit League giving us 14 conferences now in progress. The Northeast conference is getting right to the point and starting with the quarterfinals, putting us all at risk for losses immediately. Many of the in progress conferences today will be in the quarterfinals or semifinals which means prepare for a lot of losses in the pool today. I may have to update standing 2-3 times throughout the day today.

I don't have the time to go over every single game, but let's run through the important conferences/games. The America East semifinals will take place this afternoon with (6) UMass-Lowell vs. (1) UMBC and (4) Hartford vs. (2) Vermont. No one in our pool has Hartford, 1 person has UMass-Lowell so I see this coming down to UMBC and Vermont in the pool. The Atlantic 10 semifinals will take place this evening and it's all chalk. (4) Saint Louis vs. (1) St. Bonaventure and (3) Davidson vs. (2) VCU. In the gambling world these games are essential pick ems and our pool picks are fairly evenly spread across these 4 teams, showing you how close this league is. The final conference we have in the semifinals today is the Missouri Valley conference, another all chalk matchup. This afternoon we will get to watch (4) Indiana State vs. (1) Loyola Chicago and (3) Missouri State vs. (2) Drake.
