After 10 years of coming close but not being able to win the big one, the stigma is finally off of Tim Husted as he is our 2021 conference tournament pool champion. He also crushed my potential 3-peat. Tim won by a convincing 2 point margin with 17 points. He was tied for 1st with 14 wins, tied for 1st with 3 bonus points and tied for 1st in accuracy at 45.2%. Let's take a look at our final top 4:
- Tim won convincingly with 17 points and no tiebreakers needed
- Robb made an amazing run over the past 24 hours jumping into a 6 way tie for second place with 15 points, a 2 way tie for wins and accuracy and won the tiebreaker with the SEC score
- After bumping around 1-4 over the past 3 days Dan Sohler lands in 3rd place
- Sam I am rounds out our top 4 with 15 wins and breaking a 2 way tie for wins and accuracy with closest SEC score (Free entry in 2022!)
Thank you to everyone that played. It was a challenging pool this year as we lost teams due to COVID, scheduling was weird, conference tournaments were already playing before we officially started and we had late self-imposed bans, but it was great to make it Selection Sunday this year! $1,450 is paying out to 13 people with 5 people being paid out over $50. This was the idea as we started to evolve the pool, offer as many pay outs as possible instead of a winner take all.
